Title II

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination in all services, programs, and activities provided to the public by federal, state, and local governments. In public education, specifically, the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) was passed, meaning students with disabilities have the right to individualized accommodations in school, which plays a huge role in helping students with disabilities be successful in school, which has a lasting impact on their life trajectory.
