Title VI

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 says “no problem in the United States shall, on the basis of race, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.” It is important students and parents know what their rights are in terms of racial discrimination, and know what to do if their rights are violated.
