More About Divya:

Divya Mehrish (she/her) is a junior at Stanford University, double majoring in Comparative Literature and Science, Technology, and Society. Half Indian and half Italian, Divya was raised in New York City. She has found her calling in disability advocacy, and Divya is currently the Education Chair of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s National Council of College Leaders as well as a 2023 Crohn’s and Colitis Young Adult Network Fellow. She is intrigued by the intersections of the written word and creative self-expression with public policy, anthropology, medical humanities, and political communication. The Associate Director of Content at The Adroit Journal, Divya is a widely published writer of poetry, fiction, journalism, essays, and memoir pieces, in which she has explored her disability journey. Divya has experience working at the intersections of healthcare and technology, finance, consulting, and at the forefront of the literary and advocacy spheres. She is passionate about artistic pursuits, learning languages, following the financial markets, medical research, theater, and the outdoors. Most recently, she worked as a summer analyst within the fixed income division at Morgan Stanley.
